What is this?

This is my blog site to review video games I play and enjoy. I won't be getting paid for these reviews by companies, I just have a love for video games and want to voice my inner thoughts through text form.

My name is Will. I'm from England, have a full time job, house, fiancé and two kids. Before I "settled down" (cliché term but best to summarise) I used to play video games quite a lot in my free time mainly with my tight-knit group of friends whom I met in High School. I've played a wide selection of games from the popular Call of Duty's and GTA's to Civilisation, Age of Empires, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Cities Skylines just to name a few. 

I've never tried my hand at reviewing games because I find it hard to put into words what I love about these masterpieces. But I thought now at the ripe old age of 26 I'd give it a go. Now I can say these games are a way to escape from the outside world, to get lost in the immersion of a great story or to sink hours into building out a city like a god to feel some power lost of being a normal citizen but that's all been said. My aim here is just to express what aspects of these games I love and maybe which aspects I'm not too fond of. I'm not expecting many people to read it but would be a lovely bonus if just one person takes something away from my posts and decides to pick up any of the games I review.

This will (hopefully) be a weekly endeavour and to start with I'll be reviewing my favourite games I have played over the approximately 21 years I've been playing video games. I would love in the future to start reviewing new/new to me games I've never played before to get a fresh look at things so nostalgia doesn't get in the way.

Anyway, if you have read all of this then firstly I'm sorry for waffling but secondly and most importantly, welcome. My first review will be posted some time next week. Let's pray I make it a good one!
